Trying a Dentist in Bangkok

Nov 6, 2008     Thailand     My Adventures
Getting a crown was too expensive in the States so it was a good excuse for another trip to Thailand! << old website quick post >>
Old posts from my very first travel website!

Hello from Bangkok! Steve went under the drill for some dental work. Luckily, it went well, and probably didn't hurt nearly as much as Kyle's previous massage here. Now we must hang out in Southeast Asia for 2-3 weeks while the swelling goes down until the crown can be placed. Not such a bad thing!

Shouts out to all the peeps who made the journey here in '03 -- Khao San road is just not the same without you. Pad Thai on the street has gone up in price to 25 Baht (around US 75c) but still just as tasty. Rooms at the Wild Orchid are still around $10 (and up if you want A/C and satellite TV). Wish we could visit the islands again (Ko Chang and Ko Wai) but instead we'll do Laos and Vietnam for a change of pace. Cheers to you all back in the states -- we've heard many shouts over here for "Go Obama!".

And our camera stopped working on our way out at the train station. Looks like no photos of this trip.

Our last photo in Thailand. We seems to spend a lot of time at this train station.

Hi, I'm Leslie! I hope to inspire you to budget travel on as little as $30/day, lend a few travel tips, share some real stories, and give useful information on the places I've been
... the type of information that I search for before I travel to a place.

Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock

I'm a hammock junkie. I take one with me traveling when I can spare the extra room and weight, so having a strong but lightweight one is so important. I've learned to tie a good knot around a tree, but I sure do love having these easy straps, too! And yep, I like having the fun colors to choose from!
