So many times I don't need a full 3 ounces of some liquid or another. These 1 ounce travel bottles have come in so handy, and they haven't leaked! They have a squirt top and I have used them for sunscreen, mouthwash, shampoo, etc.

Die hard coffee drinker? This might be your never-leave-home-without-it travel item. Not the prettiest thing in the world, but it collapses flat! All you need is a filter (get a reusable one?), your favorite local grounds, and some hot H20, ... okay and a cup (see my packable flat cups!). Let me tell you, they are a game changer for me! They make the flight so much more conformable. There is some controversy over these as to whether or not they bother the person in front of you (they don't if you use them properly) or if they are allowed (I have never had an issue). The ones that are more compact don't have a solid bottom so your feet slide to the middle. Decide which is more important to you.

That sounds kind of gross but it's so nice to able to wipe the sweat off your forehead when you're out and about. This is the next "comfy pull over wear all day" bra I'm going to try. Great on price and reviews this seems similar to the ones I already love (also listed on my site). Moisture wicking, it should dry in a flash. Bali bras are a good brand so I think these are safe bet. These bras are not big on support and only last so long since they are glued, not sewn.

This is one of your more solid bets as far as longer lasting sport reef-safe sunscreens. It does come in a travel size 3 oz bottle so you'll be paying a little more per ounce for this one. But it is free of oxybenzone and no octinoxate, so it's reef safe. One cool thing is that the lid is a special plastic that changes color in UV rays so you know when you need to apply sunscreen!

Tried and true I have been using Eagle Creek Pack-It cubes since 2000. Like the SAME CUBES! They last forever and their customer service is stellar in case anything ever does break. These original cubes are heavier weight than the newer technology so if you want to shave a few ounces off, go with the Specters. But I love these.

This is very pricey and yes, I do own it and use it all the time. It's warm, packs 'relatively' small, doesn't wrinkle, and is pretty warm. But for the price and being 100% cashmere, it's not very soft! I do use the pillow case to put my Sea to Summit Neck Pillow in it when sleeping in airports, otherwise I might suggest their blanket-only version. Overall it's a very nice gift for yourself or someone you love.

I don't know why the best type of lock is the least seldom sold out there in travel-land. I find that the type of lock that is sort of like a carabiner is best because you can easily leave it clipped onto your zipper pull even when it's unlocked. I really only even lock my locks some of the time and the rest of the time they hang on my zipper pull as a deterrent - the thieves don't know if it's locked or not. Definitely always use a combination lock. The sleeker version seems to have gone away but these models do the trick.

These are a great rugged flip-flop. This is the only shoe I bring on some trips. The bottle opener on the bottom has actually come in handy! UPDATE: Manufacturing has changed and now these rub the foot raw. :(

The lightweight quick-dry fabric is great, and with the velcro closure, you have some leeway in how much ice cream you eat. I don't like that they put the rough side of the velcro facing out so that it might snag my shirt, but all in all, if you can get one on sale, it's an okay travel skirt with a flirty pleat on the back. I like the short skirt, but the long skirt made me sweat a lot. They come in 3 different lengths, and now they sell dresses too (but they look a little frumpy)!

Strong DEET in a pump spray. This size will last me 1-2 months in full mosquito battle conditions. You might hear mixed reviews since DEET is so toxic, but this works, plain and simple.

For some reason most non-slip headbands seem like they are made for children. Way too small for me. This one is perfect. It's snug, DOES stay in place all day long, dries quickly, and it not hot on my head. Unfortunately it does get stretched out after a while.

I can't tell you how many times I have either dropped or leaned on or smushed hair clips and broken off the tines. These are fantastic! They are designed so they don't have tines sticking out, they're sturdy, and even have rubber pieces inside to really make sure they stay put. I love these!

I did a lot of research before buying these. First of all it's a good brand, it is 31% Merino Wool, has 4 of graduated compression (20-30 mmHg), and is recommended for travel. I think it's a pretty badass pair of men's compression socks.

A big 8 oz bottle for a really cheap price. This one is no frills, but you'll get a lot for your money and can put it in a smaller travel size container to bring in your carry-on. It doesn't contain octinoxate or oxybenzone, so is considered reef-safe.

With the braided laundry line, you don't need clothespins. You just stuff a corner of your garment in the braid. I don't use the suction cups (just leave those at home). You can almost always find a place to hang this either in your room our outside. I just loop the hook back onto the clothesline to attach it to something.

For so long Uniqlo Airism bras were the only truly comfortable quick-dry lightweight bra I could find. Now many companies are following suit and (hopefully) at least slightly better quality. These bras are easily slipped on and worn all day in comfort even in hot climates, and they dry in not time at all. P.S. They're also available at Target. These bras are not big on support and only last so long since they are glued, not sewn.

Because of the price I'm almost putting these on here as a joke, but they really are the perfect lock. Why did everyone stop making these? You only want clip locks just like this, trust me! You can keep them clipped on your luggage even when they're unlocked. You don't set them down while you're getting into your bag, you can leave them on as a deterrent, great for your daypack, etc.

I have searched high and low for a filter that will work well in the collapsible coffee maker I have linked on my site. Quite honestly, this one is close but it's TOO SMALL.
