We had two luxurious nights at an all-inclusive in Cancun. The water was turquoise blue, the pool area relaxing, and the drinks flowing. We really wanted to go to the foam party at the Up and Down club, but that night just before we left, I did something to my foot - possibly broke it on one of the hanging beds at the sunset bar. And we weren't even drinking! So I spent the night watching TV in considerable pain. We were happy to get on to Tulum. We love our backpacker hotel. This is much more our speed and the local food is way better than at the AI. We went out with some other travelers last night to the local carnaval where we consumed too much beer (after finishing off a bottle of the local rum back at our hostel). Fun time though and we spent today chilling out and recovering. Tomorrow we'll hit the beach and the ruins. We're also excited that there is a dentist here in Tulum so we can hopefully get Steve's tooth taken care of. And maybe we can even get my foot looked at by the medico in town. That's all for now.
