What a blast we've had in New Zealand! New friends, glowing worms, and living in a van.
If a country could be made specifically for independent travelers, it would be just like New Zealand. The two islands are small enough so it's easy to get around and see a lot of places, and it's even easy to get between the islands on a ferry. It's beautiful, it's easy and cheap to buy a vehicle if you want, there are public bathrooms, there are directional signs everywhere (even pointing to backpacker hostels!), it's gorgeous, and there is SO MUCH to see and do.
The daily total includes all lodging, food, booze, transportation, sightseeing, visas, etc. I don't include the money I spend on gifts for friends and I do not include the flight price.
Lodging (shared) | Food | Booze | Transportation | Other Stuff | $1 Exchange |

More of a personal nature, my un-related diary-like (hmmm or blog-like?) daily thoughts and activities; the things that don't warrant their own article/adventure post.
